On Saturday, March 14th at 6pm, we will be transforming our Canmore location into a pop-up gallery for Fire Artist, Shauna Liora. Shauna has developed a truly unique technique using fire to create the backdrops for her artwork. Shauna will be in store during the event to chat about her work and even offer a demonstration on how she creates her pieces. On top of that she will be giving a little gift to anyone who comes out to check it out.
As an added bonus we will have a FREE raffle to win your very own Fire Art print!

Fire Art Artist: Shauna Liora
As a professional hiking and backpacking guide with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, she has been sharing her love for the outdoors for almost 20 years.
As an instructor for search and rescue, she loves getting lost, but only in the best ways. She has explored much of the rugged and wild places in the Canadian Rockies while skiing, hiking, backpacking or paddling. Having been to 28 countries She still considers her back yard to be the Canadian Rockies, her happy place and her home/studio is in Cochrane, Alberta.
She combines her skills as an artist and adventurer to help tell stories through each piece. She believes that adventure has the ability to offer doorways into new worlds. It allows us to express who we are, to discover deep truths in ourselves and to connect with the outdoors.
While traveling in the Canadian Arctic, Shauna met a First Nations artist who introduced her to the mesmerizing medium of fire and ink. Over a number of years, she made it her own by developing techniques that capture the fluidity of fire and hand painting in elements of adventure and nature. The abstract tendencies and intense colors the fire creates, are nothing short of breathtaking.
Shauna was also featured in explore Magazine for her talent! Click here to check it out.
