This summer we will be running Youth Skateboard camps through the town of Canmore for girls and boys ages 6-17.
Learn or improve your skateboard skills at the Canmore Skatepark! Whether you are starting with basic ollies and kick turns, progressing to grinds and stalls or moving on to more advanced tricks, we will coach based on your ability. There is a strong emphasis on safety and the importance of park etiquette. Participants will learn the parts of their board, develop falling technique, and then instructors will work with participants to improve their balance, speed control, and flexibility. Skateboarding develops perseverance and improves coordination!
Participants must bring their own skateboard. Skateboarding helmet is mandatory (no bike helmets) and other padding recommended. If equipment is a barrier to your child’s participation, please get in touch with the town of Canmore.
Instructors: Kyle McGuigan and Sam Hobley – UNLTD Team Skateboarders
