What a time to be alive! With all that’s going on in the world today, it’s very easy to be negative. I am sure I speak for all of us when I say WE WOULD RATHER BE BOARDING! It’s easy to sit around and reflect on what we are no longer able to do. But that does no good for nobody. Instead, now is the perfect time for positive reflection. Even though we didn’t quite get a full season, there were so many highlights. Amongst those highlights stands our ‘Shop Ride Days’.
For those of you who may not be in the know, ‘Shop Ride Days’ are our way of team building. Once a month we close the shop until 2pm so that all the staff can snowboard together, plain and simple!
Over the years this monthly gathering has really picked up steam. At first it was staff-only but as things grew, we opened it up to our extended family. Now shop ride days normally include 20-30 of us, including team members, close friends and brand reps! With a mob that size of us wreaking havoc on whatever resort will have us, how could you not have fun?!?!
On March 9th, 2020 we were lucky enough to be joined by the boys from Kingpin Agency (Dan, Mike and Zack). Kingpin Agency represents some our favorite brands, most importantly Capita Snowboards and Union Bindings. On this particular ride day we had the pleasure of getting to try out some next seasons product and we weren’t disappointed. We also had another special guest, our friend Adam Goodwillie, a local photographer who was able to capture some of the vibes from the day. I could continue to drone on about how much fun we had with all the blue sky, fresh snow and amazing vibes but it might just be easier if you have a look at Adams video.
We can’t wait to be able to get our family back together for another ride day. But for now, we can just be thankful for the days we have had. Stay safe out there everyone!
