April 21 Lake Louise

CARDBOARD BOX DOWNHILL DERBY

All ages welcome in this FREE Event!

Get creative with cardboard for the annual Cardboard Box Downhill Derby! Using only cardboard, string, tape and glue, prove your cardboard carpentry by building the fastest sled in town!

Prizes will be given for top three fastest sleds and the best three designs. Get your household team of 1-4 people together to see if you can out-design, out-wit and out-sled the others.

Great prizing and fun for the whole family!

It's time to get the sunscreen out and enjoy the classic Spring skiing at the Rockies' Biggest, Canada's Best! Celebrate another amazing ski and snowboard season at Lake Louise with live entertainment from Jamie Allanach, Lake Louise's own, DJ Petch & DJ Bunny Hops. The fun doesn't end there - we'll have our pond skim open for competitors and thrill seekers alike, and tons of other fun surprises too. The party is FREE and family friendly so don't miss out!

The festivities begin at 11:00am, starting with live music in the base area and registration for the pond skim. Think you've got what it takes to make it across the pond but not sure you want to compete? That's ok! This year we will have the pond skim available for competitors and fun-goers alike from 12pm - 4pm. Watch as skiers and snowboarders duke it out for prizes and bragging rights.

HOLY BOWLY PUBLIC DAYS

Limited Public Registration.  

• Limited online registration is now available. 
• Limited in person registration will be available from 9AM - 11AM Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th outside of Trappers in the Village.  
• Participants must sign the Sunshine Village Event waiver 
• $20 per person (lift ticket not included) cash and card accepted 
• Helmets are mandatory 
• Registered participants will receive a Wristband which will allow them access to the course on Assiniboine Trail near the base of Divide Chair. 
• If you do not have a wristband, you are not allowed to enter the Holy Bowly park 

 A portion of the registration fees will be contributed to Cousins Skateboarding programs at Sunshine Village.

Open to everyone, this event will see skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities having fun in their bikinis and boardshorts!

SLUSH CUP

IT'S BACK and better than ever! Sunshine's BIGGEST and BADDEST event. SLUSH CUP!

It's everyone's favourite time of the year!

 Held each year on the last day of the season, Slush Cup is a competition where participants ski or snowboard down a run into an icy pool of water. The aim is to skim across the pool until you've reached the end.

Join us on Go Skate Day at the Banff Skate Park. All ages and abilities welcome for this casual meetup with our skate community. More details coming soon!

Go Skate Day has grown to become a global event, with thousands of skaters celebrating in cities around the world. It’s a day that promotes the positive aspects of skateboarding, including creativity, community, and healthy physical activity, and helps to bring the skateboarding community closer together.
