To the initiated, it might bend the perception of who we are; however, when we begin to break down the details of this new style, it should be clear that it still manifests the cornerstones of our mission—understated design and functionality.

The CM002 has flexing points where needed and lacing options to suit your style and activity, a terry-lined interior for fit and comfort, and mixed mesh and leather uppers for durability and breathability. Enough but not too much padding for a sense of safety and something for your pants to rest on. Extra curly boot laces that lock in nicely as an option.

First released in 1977, the Style 36—aka the Old Skool™—was just the second skate shoe we ever made, and the first to feature the iconic Sidestripe™.

Designed for and by skateboarders, the Old Skool’s first-of-its-kind suede toe cap truly enabled the progression of skateboarding. And now, we’re honoring this heritage of innovation with the Skate Old Skool™ 36+, a brand-new skate shoe that maintains much of the original Style 36 silhouette and panel proportions, but with a modern twist. The shorter toe cap and padded tongue create a chunkier stance for a completely fresh take on the original. As with the original, the 36+ is designed for skateboarding, but with all the modern performance upgrades that you can find in the Skate Old Skool™—from the grippy SICKSTICK™ rubber to the long-lasting DURACAP™ reinforcements.
